FAQ

How to book an appointment?
At the moment you can book an appointment only through the personal page of the artist in Instagram. We are working on the new booking system that will be announced soon. In case you do not use instagram you can send an email to kvart.studios@gmail.com
How much does the tattoo cost?
Each artist of the studio has their own price range, you can always ask about the approximate range before the appointment. Price depends on complexity of the work, experience of the artist, uniqueness of the style as well as the placement of the tattoo.
How to prepare before the tattoo session?
  • Stay hydrated. Pay additional attention a few days before and after the appointment to the amount of water you are consuming.

  • Moisture the spot where you plan to get a tattoo at least 3 days before the appointment. It will prepare the skin for the best process of tattooing.

  • Before the tattoo session make sure that you got a good sleep and ate well. If it is going to be a long session, grab some food and snacks with you.

  • Think about the placement in advance. Wear loose and comfortable clothes, that ensure the best access to the spot where you will get a tattoo. You can always get additional clothes to change before the session.

  • You do not need to shave. It will be better if the skin will be shaved just before the appointment.

  • Please, DO NOT use any creams that reduce the pain before the appointment. They change the way your skin reacts to the tattoo, which makes it more difficult for us to make a tattoo and also may change the way your tattoo is healing.

Aftercare instructions
DAY 1-3

  • Keep your bandage (Suprasorb F) on for as long as your artists instructs you to (2-3 days usually). Suprasorb F is a breathable and flexible polyurethane second skin film, creating a wound environment which promotes wound healing through gas and heat exchange. It provides reliable protection against outside influences and is not affected by washing or showering.
  • Wearing Suprasorb F bondage no additional aftercare is needed.
  • Avoid soaking the tattoo. Quick shower is fine.
  • The tattoo may look blurry and dirty under the film, which is absolutely normal. All the liquids and ink collected under the bondage will be washed off when the film is removed.
  • Wear loose clothing that won’t rub on the tattoo.

BANDAGE REMOVING

Wash your hands thoroughly, and gently remove the dressing film:

  • With washed hands, lift an edge and then, in stages, pull it parallel to the skin in the direction of hair growth. This stretches the dressing, releasing its hold. Pull off.
  • After removing the film, wash the skin with lukewarm water and mild soap
  • Use hypoallergenic, unscented soap
  • Don’t let the tap water run directly onto your new tattoo; use your hands to gently scoop water onto the area.
  • Let the tattoo air dry; don’t rub it with a towel.
  • After washing, gently pat the tattoo with a paper towel, and then let it air dry for 15 minutes.
  • Apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare lotion containing primarily natural products) 3-4 times per day for at least the first 7 days. DO NOT USE THE BEPANTHEN
  • Other than washing the tattoo, do not get it wet (no swimming!)
  • Some redness, swelling, and discomfort is normal.
  • If you have an allergic reaction under the second skin, please, take it off immediately. Then rinse it with water only and don’t put any cream, let your tattoo dry a bit. Then put lotion on your tattoo and try to keep your tattoo open (if it’s possible ) for a few hours.
  • If you need to go somewhere, please, use the tattoo lotion and wrap your tattoo with a food film and change your bandage every 2-3 hours.
  • Keep wrapping for 3 days. Don’t forget to wash your tattoo correctly before every wrapping.

CONSULT A DOCTOR IF YOU EXPERIENCE THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS:

  • Excessive drainage
  • Excessive bleeding
  • Excessive pain
  • Excessive swelling
  • Skin that is hot to touch
  • A temperature of higher than 38 degrees C

WEEK 1

  • Wash your tattoo, following the instructions above, at least daily, more if you are in a hot or dirty environment.
  • Scabs will form on the tattoo, and it may be itchy or dry. Resist the temptation to scratch it or pick the scabs. Let your skin heal naturally.
  • Wash your hands before touching the tattoo.
  • Moisturize the tattoo using fragrance-free lotion, as needed.
  • Sun and prolonged time in water can damage your tattoo’s appearance, so cover your tattoo for the first 4 weeks to keep it out of direct sunlight.
  • Avoid going to the sauna and swimming or soaking in a bathtub for the first few weeks. - In the first week, minor swelling and redness, as well as itching, are normal.

WEEK 2

  • The tattoo will form a thin scab over it, and in a few days the scab will begin to flake off. DO NOT pick or scratch at the scab, just keep it clean and moist and the scabs will all fall off by themselves in about a week or two. Picking any of the scabs off will cause faded color and damage to the skin.
  • Be particularly careful when washing your tattoo this week, as the peeling scabs may damage the tattoo.
  • Add additional moisturizer to help with the itching.
  • Wash your hands before touching the tattoo.
  • Protect your tattoo from the sun and from prolonged water exposure.
  • Avoid shaving over tattoos. When all the scabs fall off and the skin feels smooth again to the touch, it is all healed and you can shave over it again.

WEEK 3

  • Continue applying moisturizer. You can start to use coconut butter (organic one, without any perfume).
  • Wash your hands before touching the tattoo.
  • Protect your tattoo from the sun and from prolonged water exposure.

WEEK 4

  • Once your tattoo has healed, it is alright to expose it to the sun. Be sure to apply sunscreen, as the skin may still be tender.
  • Continue to moisturize regularly to keep your tattoo looking its best.
